System Error

I have been using the Fritz chess program for many years. Today when I started the program a pop up advised me that an update was available. After installing the update I tried to reopen the program and this message was shown:

"ChessProgram 14/5 exe. System Error"

"The program can't start because d3dx10_43.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem."

What should I do?

Solution: DirectX must be installed through the link

When the box with “Browse” shows up please make a new folder Downloads/DirectX and store the files there. Afterwards run the file “DXSetup” from that new folder by hand.

You must run that DXSetup.exe file with a double click now!  If you have Windows 64 bit OS you must run the file from the …x64.cab file.

When the installation has been completed, restart the system and run the program again.
